Recently forestry related activities have been declining in some regions in Japan, which were once the main forestry product industry centers of the country. To reverse this trend, sound forest management and forest administration plans have to be formulated, and a fundamental improvement of forests in these regions has to be carried out.
Also on a global scale, forests in tropical regions as well as in other areas of the world are diminishing rapidly. This creates environmental problems which require proper solutions.
To cope with such national and international problems, the highly qualified and experienced staff of JAFTA conduct various studies, draw accurate conclusions and formulate plans, by considering the actual conditions of each affected area.
