Aerial Photography and Mapping


An airplane exclusively designed for taking aerial photographs and equipped with the most up-to-date cameras is used for taking various kinds of aerial photographs. JAFTA is also equipped with modern mapping instrument which by using aerial photographs can produce maps of various kinds and scales. These are topographic maps, land use maps, basic forest maps, watershed conservation maps, environment conservation maps and other kind of maps.

Also by using aerial photographs land use survey, topographic analysis, forest resources estimation and other types of surveys are carried out. Furthermore, through cooperation with private companies specializing in the above mentioned fields, JAFTA conducts aerial photography, triangulation survey, map compilation and analytical studies overseas.
